If you’re seeking out the downed black helicopter that you need to investigate as part of a new batch of quests in Fortnite, you’ve come to the right place. In the map image above, we’ve circled the location where the downed black helicopter can be found.
By heading to that location, you’ll be able to find and approach a “downed black helicopter” and “investigate” it.
Elaborating on this further, investigating the helicopter consists of “tuning” the helicopter’s radio in order to pick up the hidden signal. This – like quests where you need to use CB radios – offers a small, vague clue as to what players might experience once Season 7 goes live in Fortnite on June 8.
The more text that comes through while you’re tuning the helicopter’s radio, the closer you are to unlocking the signal. Note that it may take a few seconds of pressing + and – so be patient and keep tinkering with it until the message comes through.
You’ll know you’ve done this correctly when you see the message:
