You won’t be able to do this simply by tracking down the Coral Buddies and interacting with them. Instead, you’ll need to find three glowing blue shells in the Coral Castle area.

To help make the process easier, we’ve put together a guide showing you where to find all of the glowing blue shells that you’ll need to interact with in order to signal the Coral Buddies in Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 Week 6 | How to Signal Coral Buddies

For those wondering how to signal the Coral Buddies in Fortnite, the quick answer is that you’ll need to head over to the Coral Castle area and seek out three glowing blue shells.

Once you find and interact with all of them, you’ll have completed the task and can move on to other Week 6 Challenges.

The three glowing shells are spread out around the Coral Castle area and it can require some running around to get to all three.

With this in mind, our first recommendation is that when you reach Coral Castle, take a moment to equip yourself with weapons and gear in order to protect yourself from other players who are also working to complete this Week 6 Challenge.

In the map image above, we’ve circled where you can find all three glowing blue shells in the Coral Castle area. To help you complete the task even faster, we’ve also listed each glowing shell location below complete with pictures of what they look like.

We’ll start from the circled location at the very bottom of the Coral Castle area to the south, then work up to the circled location at the top northern end of the Coral Castle area.

Signal Coral Buddies – Glowing Blue Shell #1

The first glowing shell can be found on the southern edge of the Coral Castle area in Fortnite.

The glowing shell can be found by a rock with some smaller coral plants, the rock location is on the way up to the second glowing shell towards the left edge of the Coral Castle area.

Signal Coral Buddies – Glowing Blue Shell #2

The second glowing shell can be found by progressing from the first shell up the left edge of the Coral Castle area.

On your map, it’s marked by a large purple coral tree, and unlike the first glowing shell, this one isn’t hidden by a rock, so it should be relatively easy to spot.

Signal Coral Buddies – Glowing Blue Shell #3

The third and final glowing shell is at the northernmost edge of the Coral Castle area.

Here, you’ll find a large building and right behind the building facing the large waterfall edge, you should see the glowing shell by a large rock.

Once you’ve interacted with all three glowing blue shells, you’ll have completed the “signal the Coral Buddies” challenge and can move on to other Week 6 Challenges.

Note that you won’t be able to complete the Coral Buddies challenge until you’ve completed the first two Week 6 Challenges that task you with destroying motorboats and blowing up fishing holes.
