The Tribute can be accessed only if you have purchased Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven because it’s only accessible during winter. Here are the exact steps to find the River Boy tribute:
- Once you have accessed Woolhaven, wait for winter to trigger.
- As soon as it starts snowing, make your way to Pilgrim’s Passage using the teleporter.
- From the left side, use the blocks of ice to descend the pier.
- Continue south across the frozen sea until you spot a small island with a palm tree.
- Here, you can talk to River Boy, who will share some unique dialogue with you and can now join your cult.
- After that, head back to your base, and you’ll see him at the portal.

This is an incredibly touching tribute, and Massive Monster has done an excellent job honoring River Boy in the expansion.
