Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven is the first major expansion for the title, which adds a ton of new content to get through. If you’re a returning player or you’re new to the Cult, here is how you can access the Woolhaven expansion and get started.

Accessing Cult of the Lamb Woolhaven

To start Woolhaven, you need to meet the following conditions and require certain resources:

  • You need to beat the four Bishops in the base game:
    • Shamura
    • Heket
    • Kallamar
    • Leshy
  • You don’t need to beat The One Who Waits, who is the final boss of the main campaign.

After you’ve beaten all four Bishops, a Yngya statue will appear in your Cult’s base just below the teleporter.

  • Interact with the Yngya Statue, and offer the following resources, one by one:
    • 5 Mushrooms
    • 5 Crystals
    • 5 Silk
    • 1 Sin

Each time you offer the required amount of resources, a minor event will take place, related to the Woolhaven, while also introducing a new NPC.

While you’ll have plenty of mushrooms, crystals, and silk, if you’re like me and are coming to Cult of the Lamb after a while, you can generate Sin by doing the following:

  • Enter the Temple and perform a Sermon. After you finish the sermon, you’ll get a tutorial for Sin and will be asked to perform a ritual, which will generate it anyway. This only happens once.
  • Perform at a Dance Circle
  • Perform any of the following Rituals:
    • Rite of Lust
    • Rite of Wrath
    • Gluttony of Cannibals
  • Absolve Sinful followers.
  • Open a Drinkhouse.

Once you’ve given the required resources to the Yngya statue, you will be able to access the Woolhaven content and initiate its main quest. Since this is largely end-game content, beating the Bishops is a requirement, so you’re in a strong enough state.

If this is your first time playing Cult of the Lamb, it will take a while before you can access the expansion and its contents. The requirements are fairly simple for any returning players, though, and I’m sure most players interested in the expansion have beaten the Bishops.
