The physical distribution can be a bit confusing for Final Fantasy Resonance.

Final Fantasy Resonance launches on October 22, 2026, and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with three main editions. The Standard and Deluxe Editions are primarily digital with regional physical availability, and Collector’s Edition availability depends entirely on your region.

Final Fantasy Resonance Pre-Order Bonus

Pre-ordering Final Fantasy Resonance gets you the Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack, which includes useful early-game items alongside an alternate appearance for your airship.

The pack contains:

  • Magitek Airship Passkey x1
  • Knight’s Greatsword x1
  • Chestplate of Preparation x1

The Magitek Airship Passkey transforms the appearance of your airship into a Magitek vessel, while the Chestplate of Preparation increases the amount of EXP you receive from battles.

According to the official Square Enix Store, these items become available from the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra after you progress far enough into the game.

Final Fantasy Resonance Early Purchase Bonus

There is also an early purchase bonus called the Squire Kickstart Pack. It contains:

  • Blessed Cuirass x1
  • Mist Ether x1

The Blessed Cuirass increases the amount of gil earned, which is useful for the early-game but not necessary.

Steam lists the Early Purchase Bonus as available for purchases made by November 6, 2026, at 8:59 AM PT. Availability and cutoff times can differ between platforms and regions, so check your storefront before purchasing.

The Standard Edition includes the complete base game and costs:

The Magitek Armor Key lets you change your chocobo’s appearance into Magitek Armor. The Archwitch’s Grimoire unlocks an exclusive Fel Meteor Limit Burst for one of the game’s characters.

The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $59.99 in the US and £54.99 in the UK.

The Deluxe content is also available separately as a Digital Deluxe Upgrade, so Standard Edition owners are not permanently locked out of the additional items.

Final Fantasy Resonance Collector’s Edition

The Collector’s Edition is the premium physical version of Final Fantasy Resonance and costs $209.99 in North America or £189.99 in the UK.

It includes:

  • Physical Final Fantasy Resonance Standard Edition
  • Digital Deluxe Upgrade Code
  • Collector’s Edition Goods Box
  • Acrylic Block Set
  • Pixel Art Book
  • Original Soundtrack
  • Final Fantasy Trading Card Game promotional card

The Acrylic Block Set contains self-standing pixel-art versions of characters, summons, and bosses, with larger blocks used for some of the game’s biggest creatures. The Pixel Art Book is a 120-page hardcover featuring characters, summons, bosses, and Final Fantasy characters appearing in the game.

The soundtrack comes on four CDs and contains 120 tracks, while the included FFTCG promotional card features artwork created specifically for Final Fantasy Resonance.

The physical game itself is not packed inside the Collector’s Goods Box. Square Enix says the Standard Edition copy ships alongside it, while the Digital Deluxe Upgrade Code is delivered separately by email.

Final Fantasy Resonance Collector’s Edition Goods Box

Square Enix is also selling the physical collectibles separately through the Final Fantasy Resonance Collector’s Edition Goods Box. This version is for players who want the Collector’s Edition merchandise without buying the game again.

The Goods Box includes:

  • Acrylic Block Set
  • Pixel Art Book
  • Original Soundtrack
  • FFTCG promotional card

Which Final Fantasy Resonance Edition Should You Buy?

The Standard Edition is the obvious choice. At $49.99, it gets you the complete game without paying the usual $70 price attached to most modern major releases, and pre-ordering still gives you bonus items and the Magitek Airship cosmetic.

The Digital Deluxe Edition costs only $10 more if you care about the Magitek Armor cosmetic or the exclusive Fel Meteor Limit Burst. The additional consumables don’t add too much.

The Collector’s Edition is for dedicated Final Fantasy collectors. At $209.99, the additional cost is for the physical items which are likely to be available in limited numbers and sold on secondary markets.

If you decide that you want the physical merchandise after already purchasing the game, you can opt for the Collector’s Goods Box.
