FFXIV: How to Get the Exciting Tonic

Exciting Tonic is obtained from Timeworn Ophiotauroskin treasure maps and the related dungeon, The Shifting Gymnasion. As you wander around Elpis and use these treasure maps to enter the Shifting Gymnasion, you’ll have a chance at finding Exciting Tonic as a reward for completion. However, it has an incredibly low drop percentage and will likely take a lot of treasure maps to find.

You can then take the Exciting Tonic to the Totem and Sundry Exchange at Radz-at-Han (X:10.5, Y:10.1). Here; you can exchange three Exciting Tonics for the Pinky Identification Key, which will give you the giant pink elephant mount.

Obtaining three vials of Exciting Tonic will take quite a lot of time and luck. So you’ll either need to put your nose to the grindstone and really work through it or be prepared to spend a lot of Gil at the Market Board to purchase the Exciting Tonic directly.

It might be best to go to a low-population server to try and pick up the Exciting Tonic for less, but chances are you’re still going to break the bank on buying them. So your best bet is to grind out the treasure maps.
