You can find this brown dye with a weird naming choice in any of the starter cities (Old Gridania, Limsa Lominsa or Ul’dah) as each one has its general dyemonger. They’re also available on Ishgard and Kugane if you prefer to visit one of those locations.

They’ll be available for 216 Gil each on every vendor they’re available. Here are all of the vendor’s locations:

  • Unsynrael – Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks (X:6.0 Y:12.3)
  • Alaric – Old Gridania (X:14.3 Y:8.8)
  • Nanabe – Ul’dah – Steps of Thal (X:14.2 Y:11.0)
  • Eilonwy  – The Firmament (X:12.2 Y:14.2)
  • Frine – The Pillars (X:6.0 Y:9.9)
  • Tokohana – Kugane (X:12.9 Y:12.2)

Alternatively, you can also buy them from player-placed Junkmongers inside a house. Be it a Namazu, a Loporitt, or a Lalafell, all of them will have the same dye selection as the aforementioned NPCs.

If you don’t own a house and or don’t have one of those NPCs placed in yours, Free Company houses usually have at least one Junkmonger in them, so you can also get the dye from your FC house.

Differently from many other dyes, these cannot be crafted, and you can only get them from NPCs normally. They’re also tradeable, but people will usually price it higher than vendors for profits, especially whenever this particular dye shows up on Fashion Report. Now go get your dye and slay!
