FFXIV x FFXV Collaboration Event Guide: Date, Starting Location & All Rewards

Shut up and drive.

Here’s an announcement that will ‘Noct’ your socks off. The FFXIV and FFXV collaboration is back, and once again, players must team up with Noctis as they work together to defeat Garuda. Helping him will not only give you the warm fuzzies but also net you some great rewards!

FF14 and FF15 Collaboration Event Details

The collaboration debuted back in 2019 and again in 2021. Final Fantasy XIV fans once again have the opportunity to fight alongside Noctis from Final Fantasy XV through three quests, ending in a battle against Garuda. It’s worth doing for the Noctis interactions, but the highlight is the Regalia Type-G mount.

Event Duration

The FFXIV and FFXV collaboration event, A Nocturne for Heroes, will go live on February 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM PST, and will run until March 13, 2024, at 7:59 AM PDT. This means that you will have a two-week period to complete the event.

A Nocturne for Heroes Starting Location

To start the FFXV event in FFXIV, you must make your way to Ul’dah, Steps of Nald. The exact coordinates are X:8.5, Y:9.7. At this location, you will meet the FFXIV version of Rita Skeeter, NPC Kipih Jakkya. Talking to her will allow you to begin the first quest in the questline, The Man in Black.

Note: You must have at least one character leveled to 50 or above and have completed the main scenario quest “The Ultimate Weapon” to meet the requirements to undertake this quest.

There are three quests that you will need to complete to finish the FFXV event in FFXIV, and these are as follows.

How to Obtain Event Rewards

Orchestrion Rolls

Obtaining the Orchestrion Rolls is a straightforward process. You will have to farm the event FATE ‘Like Clockwork’ which is in Central Thanalan (X:27, Y:21). You will need to complete it to receive an Unidentified Magitek, and this can be exchanged for an Orchestrion Roll from the Ironworks Hand, with the closest being in Black Brush Station, Central Thanalan (X:9.4, Y:8.7).

Event Mount, Hairstyles, and Triple Triad Card

The above items all require MGP (the Gold Saucer’s currency) to purchase. In total, you will need 230,000 MGP to obtain all of the event items. If you find yourself a few MGP short, the following methods will help build up your finances before the event has ended.

Mini CactpotPurchase three Mini Cactpot tickets daily.
Fashion ReportEnter an outfit worth 80 points or more to receive 60,000 MGP weekly.
Gold Saucer Challenge LogComplete various tasks in the Gold Saucer Challenge Log for MGP rewards.
GATESParticipate in various GATES every 20 minutes in the Gold Saucer to earn MGP rewards.

With this being the third run of the FFXV event in FFXIV, it is a great time to make sure that you have obtained all of the event items previously. If not, now is the time to clean up and prepare for the upcoming FFXIV and FFXVI event which will start soon after the FFXV rerun.
