There is a variety of wildlife that call the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons home. Some of this wildlife is bugs, which can be found making their way around your island at any given moment. One of these bugs that you can find and catch for use in other endeavors is the Emperor Butterfly. Fortunately, we have everything you need to know to get an Emperor Butterfly covered for you.

Emperor Butterfly Animal Crossing: New Horizons

As with the other animals in the high-profile title, the Emperor Butterfly only is available when it spawns at a specific schedule at a particular kind of location. Players will find that the Emperor Butterfly spawns near flowers between June and September and between December and March in the Southern and Northern Hemispheres.

This specific bug will only generate during the hours of 5 PM to 8 AM, so players will need to make sure they are night owls in the game to have a chance of catching the Emperor Butterfly.
