Dream Daddy – How to Get Mat’s Ending

Find out how to score S Ranks all on three of your dates with Mat.

Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator wouldn’t be complete without the option to woo a hip, coffee-loving, and music enthusiast like Mat, and if you want to complete the game all the way, then you’re going to need to know how to serenade your way into this hunk’s heart. In this article we’ll show you everything you need to know to dive into this relationship headfirst and unlock Mat’s ending in Dream Daddy.

How to get Mat’s Ending

The first step to starting this budding romance is to visit the Coffee Spoon before you even finish unpacking. Who cares about getting all your stuff in place, there’s coffee to be drank. Head on down to the Coffee Spoon, and then make sure to choose a coffee and then order banana bread, and pick “Right Said Banana Bread” when given the option to get on Mat’s good side.

From here your choices in this interaction aren’t all that important, so choose whatever you want. Once you’ve made your way to the backyard barbeque, be sure to choose the option to talk to Mat, Hugo, and Craig, and then choose “Well, that’s subjective” to open up more conversation with Mat and Hugo. A little later on you’ll be asked to fill in your Dadbook, which you’ll want to fill with the following options:

  • Fall asleep watching the History Channel.
  • Castaway on DVD for instructional purposes.
  • Comfortable with crying.
  • The president of space.
  • Whatever will make me cry.
  • Trying to geocache but getting hopelessly lost.
  • My sick vape.
  • When I can next get a cup of coffee.

With the Dadbook taken care of, choose to message Mat, and an you’ll be able to head out to your first date at the Sound Garden. During conversation be sure to use the options we’ve listed below to score a S Rank.

  • Yes of course I definitely know what I’m talking about
  • Tally ho, good sir
  • ASK AGAIN
  • ASK AGAIN!
  • (Win “Find That Dad” mini game).
  • The Youths will finally accept me.
  • Fashion.

Now it’s time to move on to the next date. Make your way through the game until you get a chance to message Mat a second time. This time you’ll head to the Coffee Shop, where you’ll want to select the following options:

  • Father John Misto
  • Yeah. Why not?
  • Cite mutually assured destruction.
  • Rip that golf fairway.
  • Go with a classic.
  • Never too late to get back into it.

After that you should have earned an S Rank on your second date with Mat. Now it’s time to continue through until you reach your third date and have another chance to meet up with Mat. Be sure to use the following choices to score and S Rank.

  • I’LL DO IT.
  • Tomas Kalnoky
  • (Win the Piano mini game)

With those choices completed, you should earn an S Rank on your third date with Mat as it comes to an end. You’ll also unlock Mat’s special photograph, which you can view in your collection.
