Dream Daddy – Amanda’s Bad Ending

by Josh Hawkins

As you pursue different dads in Dream Daddy, there’s another aspect of the game that isn’t talked about all that much, and that’s having to take care of your daughter, Amanda. As it turns out, you can actually be a bad dad in the game, and in this article we’ll tell you everything you need to know to be a terrible father, unlock the “World’s Okayest Dad” achievement, and score Amanda’s bad ending in Dream Daddy.

How to Get Amanda’s Bad Ending

The biggest key to unlocking Amanda’s bad ending, and just being a terrible father outright, is to make sure you respond negatively to her all the time. The meaner you are with Amanda, the fewer points you’ll stack up towards her good ending, which will help you push into her bad ending.

As far as we can tell, the dad that you choose to pursue doesn’t really matter when you’re trying to get Amanda’s bad ending. Though, we have noticed that dad’s like Robert—who keep you out all hours of the night—are a good choice, as they keep you away from Amanda more and more, which creates strain on your relationship with her.

As you progress through the game, though, you’ll come to some critical moments where you’ll need to make a few big choices when talking with Amanda. We’ve broken down those choices below, so take a look and make sure you choose these options to guarantee Amanda’s bad ending.

  • I don’t like your attitude.
  • Good.
  • You have to tell me what’s actually wrong.
  • Leave her alone.
  • I can believe it.
  • It’s kinda dumb.

After these choices, there aren’t really any others that matter too much to the ending. Just stay true to being the world’s rudest dad, and you’ll be good.

Remember that throughout the game your negative interactions with Amanda are the main goal. Keep your answers clipped, ignore the problems that she is dealing with, and just be an outright terrible dad. If you can keep that up for the entire game, and make use of the dialogue options we’ve outlined above, then you’ll be well on your way to winning that World’s Okayest Dad trophy at the end of your story.
