The key thing to note in the system requirements is that just like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, DOOM: The Dark Ages requires a GPU that has hardware ray-tracing. Even with the minimum requirements, the developers have used a 60 FPS target, and an RTX 2060 is supposedly capable of that.

DOOM The Dark Ages Release Date

DOOM: The Dark Ages is coming to PC, Xbox Series S|X, and the PS5 on May 15, 2025.

Since this is published by Xbox Game Studios, it’s also coming Day One to Xbox Game Pass.

Overall, we’re expecting another incredible shooter from id Software to blow us away, and let us rip and tear to our heart’s content. DOOM: The Dark Ages shakes up the formula once more, allowing players to become an “Iron Tank” as director Hugo Martin describes this release’s Doom Slayer.
