Playing through old favorites with a new coat of paint is always a blast, and thanks to backward compatibility on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, our favorite games look better than ever. Does Monster Hunter: World have one of these patches to iron out any wrinkles?
Does Monster Hunter: World Have PS5/Xbox Series Optimization Patches?
Unfortunately, since patches and updates have stopped hitting Monster Hunter: World in 2021, there has been no news or updates regarding a proper Xbox Series or PlayStation 5 update. However, since the game did have enhanced graphical capabilities for those who had a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X back when the game launched, these graphics options are also available here.
If you’re installing the game directly to the internal storage of your PlayStation 5, however, you may see a drastic decrease in loading times. This is a major benefit, as the loading screens could be rather abundant and lengthy on previous-generation hardware. If you’re launching off of an external HDD or SSD, you’ll likely still have the same speed that you had on your previous generation console.
Since there is such a large variety of monsters to find within this world, any time spent in loading screens is time that you’re not spending doing the fun stuff: hunting giant creatures that could kill you in just a few hits. No matter if you’re searching for materials like Poison Sacs to upgrade your gear, or you just want to play with your friends, there is plenty to look forward to in both Monster Hunter: World and Iceborne.
