You’ll find plenty of items while exploring the massive world of Dragon’s Dogma 2, and you may find yourself going up the weight ranks quickly. But does your item weight affect your Stamina in Dragon’s Dogma 2? Let’s find out.
Does Being Overencumbered Drain Stamina Faster in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Stamina is used much faster if you’re overburdened in Dragon’s Dogma 2, meaning that you’ll be able to run less distance, recover Stamina slower than expected, and generally feel burdened more often than not. So, if you feel like you’re running out of stamina faster while carrying plenty of stuff, it’s because you are. Since the game doesn’t believe much in Fast Travel, you’ll be walking a lot, so be sure to put some stuff you won’t need off to the side — or sell it if you’re feeling saucy.
You can also give some of your items to your Pawns to carry, but just be careful that you’re not giving them anything too important. If they die while holding your items, they’ll be gone forever so consider just handing over some of your smaller items to lessen the load on yourself. You can also track down some of the Golden Trove Beetles if you’re hoping to increase the amount that you can carry, alongside some Rings that will give you more weight to carry your items.
Plenty of actions use your stamina, including some of your special attacks. These can burn through your stamina at an alarming rate, so make sure that you’re keeping an eye on your stamina meter at all times so you can avoid getting hit by a massive attack. You’ll be stunned for a moment if you fully deplete your bar, so keep your enemies close, but your stamina bar closer in these types of situations.
