Does FBC Firebreak Have Crossplay Support? – Answered

Is that a Gnome launcher?

Remedy Entertainment has finally unveiled FBC: Firebreak, their first-person PvE multiplayer title set in the Oldest House from Control. The gameplay reveal during the Xbox Partner Showcase gave us a good look at some of the weapons, enemies, load-outs, and overall pace of the PvE combat. Though, does FBC: Firebreak have crossplay support? Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming release as confirmed by the studio.

Does FBC Firebreak Have Crossplay Support?

Yes, FBC: Firebreak has cross-play with cross-platform matchmaking support across all platforms. This means players can queue up with their friends, and other players regardless of the platform they’re playing on.

This was confirmed by the developers on Steam, along with a few more details about the upcoming release. For starters, this is a purely PvE title, and will not feature any form of PvP content. FBC: Firebreak is set a few years after the events of Control, but interested players don’t need to play that, since this is a standalone experience.

FBC: Firebreak is being developed on Remedy’s Nortlight engine, and while it’s aiming for a high level of graphical fidelity, the developers confirmed they’re targeting a wide range of hardware, including the Steam Deck.

Is FBC Firebreak Free to Play?

No, FBC: Firebreak is not a free-to-play title, but it’s not a full-priced game either, and Remedy describes it as “mid-priced”. We’re assuming that translates to something in the $40 to $50 range. You can check out the recent “community first look” video from Remedy that gives a detailed idea of what players can expect from the PvE shooter.

FBC: Firebreak is coming to PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox Series S|X as well as the PS5 sometime in 2025. It is also coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.

Previously codenamed Condor, FBC: Firebreak has left a pretty solid impression with its announcement. It isn’t competing with an already saturated PvP first-person shooter market and should satisfy fans of the Left 4 Dead series, and the recent Fatshark titles like Warhammer 40K Darktide.
