With a new Dead by Daylight DLC being released this June, there are tons of players hopping into the game hoping to survive the night. If you’re wanting to join up with some friends, you may be wondering about the Dead by Daylight cross-play support. Unfortunately, it’s not available in the game right now, but it is coming soon.
When is Cross-Play Coming to Dead by Daylight
Unfortunately, Dead by Daylight does not support cross-play at the time of writing. However, developers have announced that it will be integrating this feature into the game by the end of 2020. While details are still scarce about the official integration date, by the time it’s all said and done, all platforms will be able to play together as part of the base matchmaking system.
It’s great to see a popular game like Dead by Daylight make an effort to bring cross-platform-play to its game. At the time of writing, it’s unclear what the plan is for bringing Dead by Daylight to the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, but we will likely learn more about that in the coming months. However, it seems likely that developers will continue to support the game on current-gen systems for a while.

For now, players can enjoy the new Silent Hills DLC that was released into the game this June. The expansion is set to add tons of new themed content into the game, like Cheryl Mason and a new map designed after Midwich Elementary School. Further, Pyramid Head will be introduced as the newest killer at launch. We recently talked with the game’s creative director to get some more insight into the expansion, so if you’re interested in learning more, be sure to check out our interview.
Dead by Daylight has become known for doing fun, crossover expansions, so there is no telling what else developers have in store for the game in the coming days and weeks. For example, last year the team added in Scream’s Ghost Face to the game and had an especially weird Halloween event.
