If you were waiting for something to do at home and you're a PlayStation owner, you may be super stoked to know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is available to be played right now. However, much like 343 is drip-feeding people the Halo: Master Chief Collection experience, you may be wondering what exactly has been released as part of the remaster. "Does Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered have multiplayer?" you might ask. We can tell you.

Does Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Have Multiplayer

You may have caught the announcement that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered has dropped today out of nowhere. For now, it's a timed PlayStation 4 exclusive and will stay that way for one month before it's made available on Xbox and PC for everyone else. The remastered campaign is, well, just that. The campaign. So if you're wondering whether or not Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered has multiplayer then we're sorry to say that the answer is no.

The reason for this is that what's being Remastered and released is just the campaign only. There won't be any spec ops mission or multiplayer options - it will just be a remaster of the story with better audio and video. Cool, right? We're pretty excited to see what changes have been made on that front, and it'll be cool to see where things have been tweaked instead of merely visually upgraded. The campaign is definitely one of the most memorable experiences that we reckon video game canon has ever produced, so even though there's no option to play with friends right now, we're still very stoked about it.

Now that you know about whether Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered has multiplayer, you should be able to jump into it with relative confidence by yourself. We still remember the good ol' days of the title being out for the first time, so since it's already here, why not give it a crack while you're stuck at home?
