Disney Dreamlight Valley Favorite Gift Guide: How to Give Gifts to Characters

A great way to befriend villagers in Disney Dreamlight Valley is to give people their favorite gifts! After all, what better way to show appreciation for someone than through thoughtful presents? It has plenty of benefits, including raising your friendship levels and progressing through a Star Path if you have a specific active task. What Are Favorite Gifts in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Favorite gifts are a feature in Disney Dreamlight Valley that allows you to gain increased friendship with your villagers. While gifting a flower or cooked meal way raise it slightly, a favorite gift will give a large boost, even if the character’s friendship is level eight or nine. These range from cooked food and raw materials to gems, flowers, or fish.

However, not every villager has the same favorite gift, and these items change daily. To check what gift each character wants, head into your Collection, select Characters and highlight the villager you want to see. You’ll find three “Favorite Things of the Day,” also known as their favorite gifts. Similarly, these items will change if you do this the following day!

How to Give Gifts to Characters in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once you have a gift you want to give a character, it’s just a matter of walking up to them, talking, and selecting “I have something to give you.” Pick your chosen item and gift it to them to raise the character’s friendship.

However, giving the item more than once doesn’t count as an extra favorite gift. You won’t gain further friendship points or progress in related Star Path tasks. In other words, you’ll only want to give one of each item per day.
