Getting a mount in Diablo 4 makes exploring the world much faster and far easier. However, you need to unlock access to a personal mount before you can have that freedom. Stablemasters are available right away, but you need to complete the Mount: Donan’s Favor quest, and I completed it myself so you know exactly where to get started. Here’s how to complete Donan’s Favor quest and get your Mount in Diablo 4.
How to Complete Mount: Donan’s Favor in Diablo 4
You must complete Act 3 of the campaign in Diablo 4 in order to start the Mount: Donan’s Favor quest. As soon as the trouble in Act 3 comes to a close, you must make your way to Kyovashad to begin Act 4, which is also where Donan happens to be waiting as Lorath needs his help.
Donan can be found in the main cathedral and you can find his marker by tracking “A Master’s Touch” in the quest menu. Speak to Donan and he will finally assign the “Mount: Donan’s Favor” quest. After a short conversation, you can track this side quest and run down to the Stablemaster, who is also in Kyovashad.

Speak with the Stablemaster in Diablo 4 and he will immediately give you a mount. It’s really that simple. There will be a quick guide on how to use the mounts, which includes some special attacks and speed boosts to get past all the pesky enemies around Sanctuary. I noticed right away that enemies don’t attack as frequently when you are using a mount, and I made the most of that as I explored.
After you complete Donan’s Favor in Diablo 4 and you have a mount, it’s time to start exploring any areas you may have missed. It’s a great time to start collecting all the Altars of Lilith in Scosglen if you have some time to kill and a decent steed to go along.
