Want to know what's changed since maintenance? Check out our Destiny 2 Update 1.39 Guide for the details.

There’s been a bit of a kerfuffle around the changes leading into Destiny 2 Shadowkeep. While Bungie has already been quite clear about the pre-launch tweaks that they’re making to a number of aspects of the game, including Pinnacle quests and Menagerie rewards, the first of a couple of updates to come has just rolled out. With Destiny 2 just now coming back out of today’s maintenance, here’s our Destiny 2 Update 1.39 guide list of changes so you know what to expect coming back into the game.

Destiny 2 Update 1.39 Guide — Solstice of Heroes Changes and More

As already predicted from the list of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep changes that will be happening pre-launch, there’s going to be a change to the end date for the Moments of Triumph. This will now be 17 September, and it has been updated in the game. You’ll also have until 17 September to claim your Moments of Triumph t-shirt. However, those aren’t the only changes that have happened as a result of Destiny 2 Update 1.39. For a full list of the upcoming pre-launch Shadowkeep changes, check out our guide here

As part of claiming your Solstice of Heroes armor set, one of the quests you have to undertake is to finish off 100 minibosses in the European Aerial Zone. This has now been changed to 50 minibosses, and completing a boss phase in the EAZ will now be worth 5 miniboss eliminations if you’re unsure about how to farm these. The Micro Mini Sparrow has had a change itself as well, and it has a Microdrive to match. On top of that, Guardians can now claim two different emblems from Collections: the Wolves Unleashed emblem, and the Prismatic Inferno emblem.

While the changes at this stage appear to be mostly cosmetic, or at least small in scale, there’s still quite a bit of time between now and the launch of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep on 1 October 2019. We anticipate that some of the larger updates to quests and the like will be en route soon enough, so being eased into them isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Check our Destiny 2 guides hub over the next month or so to keep up to date on the changing state of the game.
