Kinetic Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2 have also been highly sought-after, and with the introduction of Into the Light, Destiny 2 players who missed out on one of the best finally have a chance to get in on the fun. Here’s everything you need to know about the “god roll” Succession in Destiny 2 PvP and PvE.
How To Get Succession in Destiny 2
The BRAVE Arsenal in Into the Light brought along with it a plethora of old, reprised weapons that have always been fan favorites. Along with several returning weapons, they’ve also brought back Succession. While this weapon can be a beast in PvE, especially when it comes to inflicting high damage numbers, it’s also pretty efficient in PvP as well.
Just like all of the other weapons in the BRAVE Arsenal, the steps in acquiring Succession are pretty straightforward. However, it may take you a bit longer to find your perfect god roll.
But with that said, here is how you can start farming this weapon now:
- Complete Arcite’s BRAVE Weapon Quest (specifically related to Succession).
- Attune the weapon in the Hall of Champions.
- Start farming Onslaught activities where you’ll find your rewards in the chests at the end.
Keep in mind that you when have completed this weapon quest from Arcite, you’ll receive a roll that already has a fixed, curated set of perks. However, completing the quest unlocks the weapon attunement. Once attuned, Succession’s drop rate will increase by 50% across all Onslaught activities.
Succession PvP God Roll in Destiny 2
Even though Succession is regarded mainly as a PvE weapon, it does have a potential in PvP. Here’s the perks we would prioritize in The Crucible:
- Barrel: Fluted Barrel
- Magazine: Steady Rounds
- Perk 1: Moving Target
- Perk 2: Snapshot Sights
- Masterwork: Handling
- Mod: Counterbalance Stock
This roll is focused on accuracy, handling, and speed. Moving Target increases your movement speed and target acquisition while aiming down sights. And for this sniper archetype, it’s invaluable. Snapshot Sights grants faster aim down sights time, and we’ve added a handling masterwork and counterbalance stock to further increase weapon handling and speed.
While this may not be the best Sniper in PvP, it certainly can pack a punch.
Succession PvE God Roll in Destiny 2
Succession is especially a great Sniper Rifle pick in PvE as it excels in inflicting high damage against powerful enemies. Here’s our pick for the best god roll in PvE.
- Barrel: Fluted Barrel
- Magazine: Extended Mag
- Perk 1: Reconstruction
- Perk 2: Firing Line
- Masterwork: Handling
- Mod: Boss Spec
This roll prioritizes damage output, especially against bosses and powerful enemies. Reconstruction cuts down the time you spend on reloading your weapon, and Firing Line allows you to stand near your fireteam members and barrage enemies with precision shots. Enabling the Boss Spec Mod also allows you to inflict increased damage on bosses.
