Destiny 2 Malfeasance Guide: How to Get the Exotic

There are a number of basic steps that you have to undertake if you’re wanting to ensure that you pick up Malfeasance. When it comes down to it, none of the requirements are particularly difficult to actually get a handle on:

  1. Summon Primevals in Gambit
  2. Kill an Ascendant Primeval Servitor
  3. Speak to the Drifter
  4. Kill 25 Taken mini-bosses or bosses
  5. Finish The Corrupted strike
  6. Deposit Motes
  7. Win Gambit matches
  8. Kill 25 enemy Guardians in Gambit
  9. Team wipe as an invader three times, or get an ally to do it

The most time-consuming part of all of this might be actually getting the Ascendant Primeval Servitor to spawn in Gambit after you’re done slaughtering Primevals left, right and centre. Once you actually kill the Ascendant being, it will drop something called The Seething Heart, which is what you need to actually start off all the proceedings with the quest.

Once you have The Seething Heart, bring this oddity to the Drifter. You’ll then get your next prerogative, which is to see to the end of 25 Taken mini-bosses or bosses. The easiest place to find these is in The Dreaming City, and strikes are probably the best bang for your buck when you’re going through this process. You can’t just be taking down your regular Taken enemies, so make sure that you’re keeping that in mind.

Once you’ve dealt with these foes and reckon that you’re a regular Liam Neeson, you’ll have to finish a special version of The Corrupted strike for this quest especially. Make sure that you don’t take in more than two others with you when you complete this; the unique nature of this strike means that it wasn’t designed for a full team, so you could encounter some potential issues if you swan in with a whole squad.

After you’ve finished off the strike, it’s back to where it all began — Gambit. You’ll have to win a bunch of Gambit matches, and deposit Motes. When you’ve ticked those boxes, you’ll then have to kill 25 Guardians in Gambit regardless of whether you’re on the defense or the offense. You also have to make sure that you take out an entire enemy team either all on your lonesome, or get a mate to do it. This has to happen three times, and it obviously goes without saying that this sort of coordinated murder is a lot easier when you’ve got friends to discuss it with. After you’ve done the deed, head back to the Drifter to pick up your new baby!
