While there’s more story in each Destiny 2 DLC, a lot of people look forward to finding all the new and powerful weapons each expansion has to offer. Destiny 2: Warmind is no exception, and people have been hunting for the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 legendary hand cannon. We’re here to help, and this article will cover how to get the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 legendary hand cannon in the Warmind DLC for Destiny 2.
Find the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 in Warmind
- Complete the Warmind story campaign.
- Finish the Legacy Code and A Piece of the Past Data Recovery missions.
As you might have already guessed, you can find the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 legendary hand cannon on Mars. First you’ll need to complete the main story missions for Warmind. Once that’s done, head over to Ana Bray and you’ll be able to unlock a world quest. If you’re not familiar, the icons for world quests look kind of like crowned blue banners. You’ll find them marked on your map when they’re available.
In order to get your hands on the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 legendary hand cannon, you’re going to need to finish two missions from the Data Recovery quest line, Legacy Code and A Piece of the Past. It should take you less than 15 minutes to complete each mission if you’re soloing, or even less time if you run with a fireteam. The IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 drops at the end of the second mission, but continue on with the Data Recovery world quest so you can get to additional rewards down the line.
Now let’s dive into exactly what the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 offers. It’s an energy weapon, so let’s start by comparing it to the Annual Skate. In this case, the legendary hand cannon seems to be outclassed. The stats on the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 aren’t as good as the Annual Skate aside from range. That said, you c an offset the difference by increasing stability, magazine, reload, or handling. This can be done if you turn it into a Masterworks weapon.
Another nice detail about the IKELOS_HC_V.1.0.1 is the weapon trait. It temporarily allows for up to three times increased damage once a kill has been earned. At the very least, players should be interested in that trait, but otherwise the Annual Skate seems to be the better choice.
