Darksiders 3 features a sprawling series of regions and environments that are interconnected with one another through various passages and tunnels. Players will find themselves having to backtrack to previous locations quite often, so it’s important to know how to fast travel to make the trek less cumbersome. We’ll explain how fast travel works in Darksiders 3 so that you can quickly move between locations without having to travel on foot.
How to Fast Travel in Darksiders 3
As you steadily begin to gain new abilities and level up in Darksiders 3, you will want to return to some of the locations you’ve already visited so that you can open up previously blocked passages and discover new areas. You’ll also want to make a habit of visiting Ulthane regularly throughout your journey to upgrade your weapons and enhancements as well, and fast traveling is the most efficient way to do so.
Fast travel in Darksiders 3 is done through Serpent Holes, which Vulgrim uses to teleport you to each of his designated Plinth locations. To fast travel, simply speak to Vulgrim and select the Serpent Holes option from the list to view the available fast travel locations. Use LB/L1 and RB/R1 to scroll through the different regions and fast travel locations in each.
A new fast travel location gets added to the list each time you find a new Vulgrim Plinth. You can only fast travel to Vulgrim Plinths that you have visited previously, so it’s important to keep an eye out for Vulgrim’s hanging charms whenever you discover a new area. Plinths also act as respawn points when you die.
As we mentioned above, it’s a good idea to return to Ulthane often once you have collected more Adamantine and Artifacts to upgrade your weapons. Fast travel back to Ulthane by selecting the Maker’s Tree Serpent Hole location in the Haven region. Since fast travel requires visiting Vulgrim, make sure to see if you can feed him enough souls to level up while you’re at it.
Now that you know how to fast travel in Darksiders 3, you should be able to easily trek between each region while hunting each of the Seven Deadly Sins. Be sure to check out some of our other Darksiders 3 guides, such as how to heal and restore health, for more gameplay advice and tutorials.
