Complete Controls Guide for Rematch
Dribble like Ronaldinho!

Rematch is an immersive, fast-paced PvP football match in which you control only one player. The game expands on the freedom you can have as a player, such as dribbling, shooting, and passing, making it hard to memorize all the controls.
Memorizing all the offensive moves or commands alone is a tough task already, and it is much easier to read up on the controls than to go through their tutorial every time. Here’s the complete controls guide for Rematch.
Rematch Controls for PC (Mouse and Keyboard)

Offense | Command | Accurate Description |
Shooting | Left Mouse Button (LMB) | A strong shot or strike. You can even use this for long passes where you want something quicker than a lob pass. |
Tap | Right Mouse Button (RMB) | Tapping the ball. Mostly for quick passes or a more accurate shot on a clear goal. |
Light Tap | Right Mouse Button + Space Bar | A much lighter tap for passing. |
Push Ball | Space Bar | Pushing the ball to run quicker. You might lose innate control of the ball, so you must chase the ball properly to maintain control over it. |
Dribble Stance | Left Ctrl | Make unique moves to get past your mark or defender using the dribble stance. |
Rainbow Flick | C | Flick the ball to a precise location using the command button and your movement keys. It is way harder to direct the flick on a keyboard, so it could take a while to get used to. |
It is worth noting that movement keys are pivotal in your directional passes and even in how you receive the ball. It is hard to do on the keyboard, but you’ll have the ability to do quick and sharp turns since you are using a mouse.
Defense | Command | Accurate Description |
Sliding Tackle | E | Slide toward the ball. You can perform a longer slide with more momentum. There are no fouls here. |
Dash | C | To move quicker. |
Defensive Stance | Left Ctrl | Defensively mark your opponents. Guides you on defense and keeps the camera angle on the offensive player you are marking. |
Dive | Q | Jumping for the ball, similar to how you would fight for a header. |
(Goalkeeper) Tackle | E | This is not just a regular tackle. Using this tackle can slide you to a better position to block a shot. |
(Goalkeeper) Dive | Space Bar | Diving to catch the ball. |
(Goalkeeper) Push Ball | V | Pushing the ball to run with it quicker, similar to how you use it on offense as a striker. |

Should You Play Rematch With a Controller on PC?
There are upsides and downsides to playing with a controller. First, you’ll aim more accurately, and the controls are more natural and intuitive.
On the keyboard, it takes a while to get used to, and the movement and directional mechanics are harder to master. However, you have much more control over the camera angles, and you can look and aim over your goal and make a 180-degree turn in a split second using a mouse, making it easier to make extraordinary plays.
Personally, I believe keyboard and mouse should be better when we talk about skill cap, but the controller should be the way to go for a much easier time.
