Can You Sell Valuables in Cronos The New Dawn? Explained

Sounds familiar.

Cronos: The New Dawn is a survival horror title similar to Dead Space and Resident Evil. This means that you have limited inventory space and constantly need to manage resources. You will also come across different items marked as valuables, and it isn’t immediately apparent what to do with those.

Here is what you should do with valuable items in Cronos: The New Dawn.

Can You Sell Valuables in Cronos: The New Dawn?

Yes, you can and should always sell valuable items in Cronos: The New Dawn to acquire a good chunk of energy. These items have no other use and take up a slot of your inventory or stash.

  • To sell these valuable items, make your way to any safe area.
  • Here, approach the Workstation and open the “Sell” tab.
  • These items will be clearly marked with (Valuable) in the name along with their value.
  • Sell them for some quick energy. For instance, the Camera can be sold for 800 energy.

Unlike Resident Evil games, where you can often combine valuable items and trinkets to form more elaborate items to sell for a higher price, Cronos has a simpler approach, treating these items as relics of the past that can be sold for a decent return. It’s not a bad system by any means, but I wish they had taken it a bit further.

The items usually include some commentary dialogue from The Traveler and do add to the world-building to some extent. It’s always a good idea to seek them out and ensure that interactive/pickable items stand out a bit more. I recommend keeping the “Interaction Indicator Style” to Default in the Gameplay tab of settings so that you don’t miss out on these potential finds.

Energy is often scarce, and you’ll need a bunch of it if you want to upgrade your weapons, which is why picking up a valuable even at the cost of an inventory slot is worth it, in my experience. You can eventually upgrade the suit’s inventory slots so you can carry more items.

So yes, always sell valuable items as soon as you can in Cronos: The New Dawn!
