Best two out of three!

Previous Pokemon Generations allowed players to rematch trainers using an item called the VS Seeker. This would allow them to farm gold and EXP while enjoying the thrills of post-game battle. These trainers would often have stronger Pokemon during these rematches as well! However, after beating every trainer in Paldea, you may be wondering if it is possible to rematch them. Without further ado, let’s learn if trainer rematches exist in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!

Can you Rematch Trainers in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

While you can rematch Gym Leaders and Team Star Leaders, you unfortunately cannot rematch the trainers in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

This is highly unfortunate, as many players struggle to find fun and challenging battles to partake in the post-game. However, you can rematch each of the Team Star Leaders once per day!

Rematching each of the Team Star Leaders provides tons of post-game fun, as all of their Pokemon are very highly leveled. Expect Pokemon ranging from Levels 60-70 in the Team Star rematches.

You wont, however, be able to battle the various Starmobiles again.

Trainer Rematches in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC?

With enough push from the lovely Pokemon community, we may be able to sway Game Freak into adding the VS Seeker or even post-game trainer rematches into Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!

The VS Seeker was last present in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, which was obviously quite recent. Although it wasn’t present in Pokemon: Legends Arceus, there is still hope for it to be added to Scarlet and Violet!

Even if this doesn’t happen, the upcoming Scarlet and Violet DLC will almost certainly add a whole new region with tons of trainers to battle. This is something to look forward to while you keep farming those Team Star rematches.

While you wait, maybe try completing your Pokedex so you can farm shinies with the Masuda Method!
