Can You Play No Rest For The Wicked on Steam Deck?

You can now be wicked on the smaller screen

No Rest For The Wicked is now out on early access, and it’s yet to get verified for the Steam Deck. However, there has been confirmation from official sources that players will be able to enjoy all the content on their handheld, despite some technical difficulties that could arise.

Is No Rest For The Wicked Available for Steam Deck?

Despite lacking a Steam Deck verified as of writing, you can enjoy No Rest For The Wicked on the Steam Deck. Of course, there might be certain optimization issues that could arise on day one. The information was shared on Twitter by Gennadiy Korol, who’s the co-founder of Moon Studios.

The new ARPG can run on both the Steam Deck and ROG Ally on day one. However, Gennadiy was quick to remind that there could be certain drops in FPS, especially in certain cinematic cutscenes.

We’re getting 30-40fps on the Deck, depending on the quality with some dips to 20-25 fps. Some cinematics might dip more, but gameplay is very enjoyable thanks to our Game Simulation always running at locked 60fps, so the game input for the precision combat remains super responsive!

However, it’s expected that the performance will improve once an official release takes place. That said, it’s a remarkable job on the end of Moon Studios to make the title available on the handhelds. This will let players enjoy all the content on the go.

Will No Rest For The Wicked Release on Nintendo Switch?

While official support is coming soon for the Steam Deck, there’s no such luck in store for Nintendo Switch fans. Moon Studios has decided to skip the older-gen consoles altogether. As a result, the ARPG won’t be released on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, or the Xbox One.

The console releases are yet to take place, and Moon Studios hasn’t mentioned any official date. For now, only PC players will be able to enjoy the game, currently available at a discounted price. While there’s plenty of content already available for the players, major updates will introduce new story chapters and multiplayer in the near future.
