Can You Kill Darth Vader In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order?

A familiar foe is in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - but can you take him out?
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been out for a little bit now, so we feel better about talking about one of the more exciting parts of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Everyone knows Darth Vader and our very own Cal Kestis comes face to face with the baddie in Fallen Order and he’s as powerful as you’d expect. If you’ve tried to defeat him by now, you’ve probably noticed that you die a pretty quick death. So is there a trick to killing Darth Vader in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order?

Nope. No trick, no tips. Just you flat out can’t do it. So why are we writing this? Because we’ve been asked about this a lot so figured here it is for all to enjoy and lament over, because killing Darth Vader wouldn’t make sense since Fallen Order does a solid job at being in line with canon Star Wars. How can you kill Vader when this game is set right smack dab in the middle of the movies (the films before Disney took over.)

So to avoid getting choked out, here’s what you need to do. When he approaches you (he will grab you), look to his right in the distance. You’ll see a big metal object that you can Force Grab to you, that will break his hold and give Cal a chance to make a run for it. This is the first of two encounters you’ll have with him, both will end with you barely escaping with your life.

There’s also another nifty thing that happens, but we won’t spoil that – it’s bad enough we’re talking about Vader.
