Can you Jump in Honkai Star Rail

Can you Jump in Honkai: Star Rail? – Answered

Thank goodness for the bridges and paths everywhere

Honkai: Star Rail bears similarities to Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd in terms of combat mechanics and art styles. That much is apparent if you’ve played either of these games before and hop right into HSR. However, their many similarities also come with many differences, including world structure, characters and even basic movement mechanics.

With that in mind, you may have one particular question: can you jump in HSR? After all, the other two games had this feature, so surely it’s possible for Star Rail to include it. If you want to learn more, continue reading to discover whether you can jump in Honkai: Star Rail.

Can you Jump in Honkai: Star Rail?

The short and simple answer to this question is no, Honkai: Star Rail has no jump button or mechanics. While many of us are familiar with Genshin Impact’s jump and gliding features or Honkai Impact 3rd’s auto jumping, HSR doesn’t include either. Instead, you’ll mainly run around to your locations on a linear path. Fortunately, Honkai: Star Rail does let you fast travel after some time.

Heading into the game’s controls, you’ll also find options for accessing your inventory, tutorials and banner menus. You can also swap between your characters, use abilities, and do all kinds of other fun things to help you on your adventures. However, while there is a sizable list of options, these settings include none for jumping.

One reason this may be the case is that, unlike a game like Genshin, Honkai: Star Rail is not an open-world game where you can freely explore a vast land. Instead, you’re mostly going from points A to B to Z on a specific path, with the game later giving you some opportunities to explore. With that in mind, combined with being able to run and fast travel around, there isn’t much need to jump.

Honkai: Star Rail is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS. If you want to learn more about the game, check out our complete Honkai: Star Rail content list by clicking the tag below.
