Can Terrakion be Shiny in Pokemon GO? – Answered

Cobalion is the better shiny.

The Swords of Justice have come to Pokemon GO and, for a limited time, can be found, fought, and captured in five-star raids scattered across your local area. Among these powerful legendries is Terrakion, a Rock-Type and Fighting-Type with a charge strong enough to knock down a castle wall. But beyond that, Terrakion is one of the best of the trio in terms of viability. With an attack stat of 260, this Rock-Type outclasses both Cobalion and Virizion, who each only have an attack of 192.

But as you’re throwing down in the raid, you might be wondering to yourself, is there a chance of catching it as a shiny?

Can Terrakion be Shiny in Pokemon GO? – Answered

If you’re grinding out raids, there’s a chance you can find shiny Terrakion. You’ll know you’ve found it because shiny Terrakion has rust-colored horns and teal hip scales. It’s a color scheme that would make it right at home in the lands of Horizon Zero Dawn.

But grinding out a raid boss Pokemon is difficult. There’s a common misconception that raid bosses are more likely to be shiny, but this isn’t true. It all boils down to persistence or luck. Generally, there’s a 1 in 500 chance of finding a shiny Pokemon. But Legendary and Mythical Pokemon have a rate of 1 in 20. So, while it’s still a trial of time and effort, getting your hands on shiny Terrakion is possible.
