Bubble Bobble was originally released for the NES in August of 1986. A comical arcade action platformer, this challenging game was released by Taito and quickly received critical and commercial success, making it an instant classic in the NES lineup. Since then, the game spawned several remakes and clones, but nothing feels quite as good as the original NES version that is available on the NES Classic Edition system. How to Get the Happy Ending
Bubble Bobble includes four total endings that players can reach. There are two bad endings, as well as two good endings. In order to get the good, or happy, ending, you will need to have two players in the game. If you’re the only person playing, though, you can use this simple process to get the happy ending anyway.
Take the Crystal that you find in Room 99 and move it to Room AO. Once you reach the final boss in Room B3, fire at him until he is encased in his bubble. Instead of popping it right away, reach over and summon a second player with the other controller. You’ll need at least one life to do this, so don’t die too much. Now, with two players in the game, pop the bubble to beat the game and get the happy ending.

You should now be able to access any level in Bubble Bobble using the codes above. Make sure to remember to activate the second controller before you defeat the main boss if you want to get the game’s happy ending. You can obtain the happy ending in both the normal mode and the Super Bubble Bobble rounds, so pay careful attention and try to make it to the end with at least one extra life so you can call in the second player. If you’re playing with two players, remember that you can steal lives from the other player to bring yourself back to life. Then can be accomplished by pausing the game and then pressing the Select button.
