Despite a headshot damage nerf to most of the meta weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3, the Vaznev-9k remains the top dog in the submachine gun category. Since Ranked Play was released last season, the main idea for SMG builds has remained similar, but each month brings new ideas to loadouts.
In March, underbarrel attachments were buffed across the board for more speed, and that has leaked over into every SMG build. To help you make the most of each attachment, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the best Vaznev-9k build in MW2.
Call of Duty MW2 Ranked Play Season 3 – Best Vaznev-9k Loadout
Like the builds used for SMGs in the past, we only want to use four attachments rather than the full five. Having a fifth attachment will cause too much imbalance and isn’t worth the slot. As for the four remaining attachments, we want a mix of control and mobility that you can find below.
Vaznev-9k Ranked Play Loadout:
- Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
- Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
- Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip
- Stock: Otrezat Stock
Our two control attachments are the Bruen Pendulum and the FSS Sharkfin 90 underbarrel. In the past, it was better to have just a muzzle or a light grip. With the changes to underbarrels, we can use a light version like the Sharkin and add the Bruen to the muzzle to ensure the best control possible without losing speed on the Vaznev-9k. Check out OpTic Shotzzy’s loadout for the Vaznev-9k here.

After the control is dealt with, we can move on to the mobility. I like to use the True-Tac Grip rear grip and the Otrezat Stock for increased speed across the board and much snappier aiming. When I want to start dominating in close quarters, and I’ve had enough of the ARs in COD MW2 Ranked Play, this is what I have in hand.
