Best Sotheby Build Guide in Reverse: 1999

Slinging heals and lethal poison.

Built around healing over time and poisoning enemies, Sotheby fits the role of a well-rounded healer/supporter in Reverse: 1999. If you just pulled this 6-star, here’s a guide discussing whether Sotheby is good, her best build, and what characters pair well with her.

Is Sotheby Good in Reverse: 1999?

Despite Sotheby’s stats being weak in the early game and the strict management necessary with her Incantations, she’s definitely a healer/support worth investing in. She can heal allies passively with Cure each round and inflict Poison on enemies to deal damage over time; by planning these skills correctly, you can slowly and efficiently keep your team healthy and pressure enemies for multiple rounds.

With her Ultimate, she can trigger both statuses to heal while dealing solid Reality damage to all enemies. Her playstyle is passive and shines best when you boost up her Incantations before using them, but this also makes her AP hungry. You’ll have to carefully manage her cards and know when to put them down to take advantage of Sotheby’s strengths.

Best Sotheby Build in Reverse: 1999

The best build for Sotheby is, by far, That Inquisitive Dear Psychube. Her Second Life is a strong runner-up, but That Inquisitive Dear works wonders with Sotheby due to its passive, allowing her to heal an ally with the lowest health whenever she casts a debuff Incantation.

Anytime she inflicts Poison, someone will get healed on top of an active Cure that round. Moreover, That Inquisitive Dear will increase Sotheby’s healing by 18% once upgraded to cap.

Best Sotheby Team Comps in Reverse: 1999

Sotheby has excellent synergy with teammates who benefit from attacking enemies with negative status effects, such as a Bkornblume and Sweetheart. Those characters can deal bonus damage when foes are under Poison and could even help trigger their passives.

Similarly, characters like Charlie and Druvis III will have increased damage under Cure, so Pos Stats and Stats Up-focused heroes will also benefit from being on Sotheby’s team.

Sotheby complements many team comps and is an overall fantastic character to have on your roster, so consider investing a bit into her if you’re sorely lacking a strong healer/support.
