6 Best Skills in Creatures of Ava

Conquer the world of Ava with these amazing skills!

While there aren’t many skills to choose from in Creatures of Ava’s skill tree, they are quite diverse, catering to multiple playstyles. Most of the game’s “combat” revolves around curing infected creatures in the world of Ava. So, utility skills see a ton of value compared to Nafitar and spell upgrades. However, some skills truly excel in either helping you deal with the Withering or explore the world more thoroughly. Here are the best skills you should get in Creatures of Ava.

The Best Skills to Upgrade in Creatures of Ava

Dhom III

Dhom unlocks after finishing the Sagestone puzzle in the Nari Jungle. The Dhom spell slows enemies down, giving you some extra time to cure the infected target before they even get to you. The Dhom III upgrade resets the duration of the slow if you use another spell on the infected target. Using a combination of the Dhom and Ushun spells will permanently lock down the infected target. Curing infected creatures will now feel trivial after reaching this upgrade.

Ushun II

Building upon the spell before, Ushun II extends the levitation (stun) on the target, giving you more time to pin down the target. When dealing with multiple infected targets, Ushun II works better compared to the Dhom spell because you can levitate or stun multiple creatures simultaneously.

Overcharge I and II

When you start dealing with infected creatures with massive “health” bars, you’ll need a way to cleanse them faster. Taking Overcharge I gives you the ability to cleanse your current target faster. However, it does have a cost. Overcharge II helps you sustain the cost because you’ll cleanse the target even faster than before. Combining these Overcharge skill upgrades with the other spell upgrades before synergizes perfectly.

Chain Unchained

The last upgrade that synergizes and basically makes the build work is the Chain Unchained skill. If you are dealing with multiple infected creatures, especially during rescue missions, you can chain your Nafitar beam on multiple targets and use all your spells to stop the infected enemies from getting too close to you.

Item Detector

Item Detector is a tool skill that allows your camera to detect rare objects on your lenses. This is great for finding secrets, items, interactable, and more. The Item Detector indirectly helps you find Wind Chimes, too, because you’ll constantly be using the camera to detect items. It is a great way to get more skill points and even get some useful upgrades by finding items like Backpack Pockets, Stamina Kits, and Health Kits.

Concentration

If you have noticed a research task under the creature page in the Avapedia, you’ll need a picture of an infected version of every creature in Creatures of Ava. Speaking from experience, the most damage you’ll take is from trying to take a photo of an infected creature. They’ll constantly attack you and you can’t dodge with your camera up. Concentration allows you to do this research task effortlessly.
