As one of the strongest builds for the past few months, creme brulee cookie has been dominating the arena ladder, and for good reason. The cookie’s ramping power is unparalleled and always assures a victory within good time. Its weakness though? Well, it’s squishy and easy to kill—which is why three tanks are necessary for this build to keep creme brulee cookie alive.

  • Tank – Fettucine Cookie (5x Swift Chocolate M Toppings), Burnt Cheese Cookie (5x Solid Almond M Toppings), and Financier Cookie (5x Swift Chocolate M Toppings)
  • DPS – Creme Brulee Cookie (5x Searing Raspberry M Toppings)
  • Healer/Support – Snapdragon Cookie (5x Swift Chocolate M Toppings)
  • Treasure Items – Squishy Jelly Watch or Sleepyhead’s Jelly Watch, Dream Conductor’s Whistle, and Librarian’s Enchanted Robes

There’s no doubt that Frost Queen Cookie and Golden Cheese Cookie have dominated every season of the year. Their explosive power makes them incredibly strong against practically every build out there, and if they weren’t easy to kill, they’d definitely be inconceivably overpowered.

  • Tank – Burnt Cheese Cookie (5x Solid Almond M Toppings), and Financier Cookie (5x Swift Chocolate M Toppings)
  • DPS – Golden Cheese Cookie (5x Searing Raspberry M Toppings), and Frost Queen Cookie (5x Searing Raspberry M Toppings)
  • Healer/Support – Snapdragon Cookie (5x Swift Chocolate M Toppings)
  • Treasure Items – Squishy Jelly Watch or Sleepyhead’s Jelly Watch, Sugar Swain’s Feather, and Dream Conductor’s Whistle

There’s nothing more satisfying than completely wiping out an enemy within seconds of starting the match. This build utilizes that exact strategy to assure victory. While this build is very weak against durable teams with great healing, anything else in its path will be decimated.

  • Tank – Crimson Coral Cookie (5x Solid Almond M Toppings)
  • DPS – White Lily Cookie (5x Searing Raspberry M Toppings), Golden Cheese Cookie (5x Searing Raspberry M Toppings), and Frost Queen Cookie (5x Searing Raspberry M Toppings)
  • Healer/Support – Snapdragon Cookie (5x Swift Chocolate M Toppings)
  • Treasure Items – Squishy Jelly Watch or Sleepyhead’s Jelly Watch, Dream Conductor’s Whistle, and Old Pilgrim’s Scroll

This build focuses on cookies most players should already have and features a lot of flexibility for you to experiment with other characters. There are a few mandatory requirements like snapdragon cookie, but beyond that, it’s totally up to you.

  • Tank – Hollyberry Cookie, Crimson Coral Cookie, or Fettuccine Cookie (Pick One and Equip 5x Solid Almond M Toppings)
  • DPS – Mango Cookie, Squid Ink Cookie, Sorbet Shark Cookie, or Frost Queen Cookie (Pick Two and Equip 5x Searing Raspberry M Toppings)
  • Healer/Support – Snapdragon Cookie and Parfait Cookie, Cotton Cookie, or Cream Puff Cookie (Pick Two and Equip 5x Swift Chocolate M Toppings)
  • Treasure Items – Squishy Jelly Watch or Sleepyhead’s Jelly Watch, Old Pilgrim’s Scroll, and Dream Conductor’s Whistle

A Beginner’s Guide to Climbing The PvP Arena

If you’re just starting off and have no clue what to do, don’t worry. You’ll slowly come to find that most of the lower to mid-arena ranks don’t follow meta builds. It’s only toward the higher ranks in arena, like diamond and above, where people start using meta compositions and things get a little tough. But if you’re a newbie, you’ll get by pretty easily. Here are a few tips to help you understand how arena works.

Power levels don’t matter that much

Power levels essentially showcase the strength of a team and players can get higher power levels by upgrading their cookies and relevant items. But in arena, it doesn’t always matter how strong someone is. Getting the first hit and ability interrupt in a match usually results in a win. Even an incredibly durable team can beat a higher-ranking opposing player with time. What matters is your composition and synergy. A good team will have cookies that can strengthen other characters’ weaknesses and vice versa. Strength does not always mean victory.

Understand your build

Just because a cookie can dish out a lot of damage, doesn’t mean you should just put it into your team. Whenever you think of putting a cookie in your team, you need to ask yourself what purpose does it serve, does it work well with the other characters on your team, and whether is it the best option for that spot. Read your skills, understand your stats, and balance your build.

Be patient and meticulous

Each arena season usually lasts around a month, and with the auto-skip function recently implemented, climbing the arena ladder from bottom to near-top is easy. But that doesn’t mean you should just duel people willy-nilly and hope for the best. Know your place, be patient, and approach matches meticulously. Most people lose matches because they rush right in without thinking; whether that’s because of a power level gap or just impatience. Sometimes it’s worth waiting for a better outcome than it is risking a setback.

While these builds are incredibly strong and will likely get you high on the arena ladder, they’re all suggestive and meta-focused. If you don’t have any of these characters, or maybe you have one or two of them for a specific build, try switching stuff around and experimenting with what you already have. Chances are, you’ll be perfectly fine and more accomplished than you’d expect. It’s also worth noting that this guide was made using Cookie Run Kingdom version 5.3, so the meta might change in the future. When it does, we’ll update this guide with more information.
