Best Moveset for Palkia in Pokemon Go
The best moveset to use with Palkia is Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor. This combination has the highest DPS out of Palkia’s moves and excellent EPS stats. While a move like Aqua Tail uses less energy, it also deals far less damage. Similarly, Palkia’s other Quick Move, Dragon Breath, has lower DPS and EPS.
Lastly, since Palkia is a Water and Dragon-type Pokemon, Dragon Tail and Draco Meteor benefit from Same-Type Attack bonuses. Unlike a move like Fire Blast that does not receive this bonus, Draco Meteor will end up dealing far more damage while consuming slightly more energy.

While this is considered the best moveset for Palkia, you’re not guaranteed to win battles against other Pokemon. It is also important to consider what types you’re facing. If you’re against Steel, Fire or Water-type Pokemon, Palkia will have a noticeable advantage and should win a good chunk of the fights. This is particularly true for Fire and Water-types that only deal around 40% of their usual damage.
In contrast, if you’re up against a Dragon or Fairy-type Pokemon, Palkia will take increased damage and may lose the fight. If possible, swap Palkia out for another Pokemon that counters these types.
