Limestone is a type of rock that you can mine and use for all sorts of crafting recipes in Enshrouded. The different types of rock available in Enshrouded can be a little difficult to tell apart. So, if you’ve been mining and only coming up with stone, sandstone, or granite, we’ve got you covered in this Enshrouded guide.
Where to Find Limestone in Enshrouded
Limestone can be found in the Low Meadows, which is the small, grassy area along the southern edge of the map in Enshrouded.
The Low Meadows is one of the first locations you can reach in Embervale and is easily accessible by gliding east of the top of the Springlands Ancient Spire. The Low Meadows is rich in Limestone, especially in the hills surrounding Spire itself.
You can identify Limestone by looking for its tell-tale color, which is much lighter than regular stone and almost looks like the color of sand. When you get close to it, you will notice small specs of blue and orange permeating the surface of the stone.
The best place in all of Embervale to mine Limestone is at the mountain just northeast of the Low Meadows Ancient Spire. The mountain is visible from the Spire itself, so simply glide off in that direction and head straight for the mountain with your pickaxe.
The entire mountain is made of Limestone, so you don’t have to worry about the resource ever running dry!
How to Use Limestone in Enshrouded
Limestone is mainly used to craft building blocks in Enshrouded. These can be crafted at the Workbench and used to create any sort of building you want in the game. Limestone creates a nice, light-colored block that can help make buildings appear brighter and more welcoming than regular stone building blocks.
But Limestone isn’t just used to create Limestone building blocks. It’s also used as a filler to create several other types of building blocks. You need Limestone to create Fancy Stone Blocks, Mixed Sandstone Blocks, Refined Stone Blocks, and, of course, Limestone Blocks.
How to Improve Your Mining Skill in Enshrouded
You can mine Limestone with even the most basic pickaxe. If you use a better quality one, however, you will be able to harvest much more at a much faster rate. Finding the items to create the best pickaxe isn’t easy, though. And there is another way to improve your mining without having to craft specific items.
In the Skills tab of the menu, you can spend Skill Points to improve your Constitution, Spirit, Endurance, Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence. Each branch helps you to hone your skills to embody a certain build, whether that be as a Mage, an Archer, a Warrior, or any of the other builds available in Enshrouded.
The middle circle, however, bordered by a faint purple line, contains more general skills that can help you in the field. One of these skills is the Mining skill, which gives you a 10% chance of harvesting an extra resource on top of the ones you are already set to collect.
The Mason Skill also increases the amount of damage you deal to stone objects, including resource veins, by 30%. If you want to improve your Mining, these two skills are an absolute must.
