Best Dr. Ratio Teams in Honkai: Star Rail

Make a team worth 10 points

Once you finally get everything you need together and finish building Dr. Ratio, our newest free 5-star character in Honkai: Star Rail, you’ll also need a full team to get him going. So here are a few team examples you can assemble to bring out the Doctor’s full potential.

Best Teams for Dr. Ratio in Honkai: Star Rail

Dr. Ratio’s kit works around his Talent which can trigger a follow-up attack depending on how many debuffs the enemy has. This gives him huge synergy with any characters that can either apply more debuffs or empower his attacks directly. Classical hypercarry comps do well with him, but he has some notable synergies.

These teams are focused on Simulated Universe or Memory of Chaos as Ratio is best suited for that type of content. You can still use him on Pure Fiction, but he might struggle with getting higher points. Bolded characters are mandatory.

Ratio Hypercarry

  • Dr. Ratio, Ruan Mei, Pela, any Abundance/Preservation

The usual Harmony + Nihility combo that works with most DPS. Ruan Mei can easily be swapped for any other Harmony depending on your needs, and the best replacement for Pela is Silver Wolf, who also deploys tons of debuffs to guarantee his 100% follow-up attack on enemies. She can also make using Ratio possible on any opponent by implanting Imaginary weakness on it.

You’ll probably need some extra sustain, and any healer/shielder in the game can do the job well. Luocha is a prime choice as he’s also Imaginary and you’re probably using Ratio mostly against Imaginary-weak enemies.

Ratio + Topaz Dual Carry

  • Dr. Ratio, Topaz, any Harmony/Nihlity, any Abundance/Preservation

One of Ratio’s best synergies is with Topaz. Her Proof of Debt debuff helps him with his follow-ups as well as increasing their damage. If she has her signature Light Cone, she applies two debuffs by herself, so you won’t need any other source. Both are single-target-focused units, so you might struggle with multiple enemy waves.

The only negative part is the amount of investment required for both of them to work. But when facing enemies weak to both Imaginary and Fire, this is the best duo by far. And if you really need that, Silver Wolf can do the job.

Full Imaginary Ratio

  • Dr. Ratio, Welt, Yukong, Luocha

An expensive but powerful team. Welt provides all debuffs needed for Ratio to go nuts while also dishing out some AoE to make up for the doctor’s lack in that department. Make sure that Yukong is speed-tuned to buff both of them and not Luocha, and you’ll break those weaknesses like they’re nothing.

Since Luocha’s the least important part of the puzzle, you can easily swap him out for another healer if you don’t have him. This team can also take a toll on your SP count (especially if Yukong’s not E6), so be careful.

Other notable team comps might include Ratio paired with DoT-based units. Guinaifen in particular is great with him as she has two debuffs, possibly three if you have E1. But most Ratio teams won’t be much different from the first example. It’s all about the enemies you’re facing and which units are best built in your account. The doctor’s a huge powerhouse regardless, and you should definitely not sleep on building him.
