Best Blight Farming Strategy in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur

Blighted-Ravaged loot!

With all the controversy surrounding T17 and T16 juicing, Blight farming has seen a resurgence in popularity in Path of Exile’s Settlers of Kalguur league. Blight has always been a great currency-farming strategy that gives players a mix of bubble gum currencies and amazing loot. Here’s the best blight farming strategy to farm some fast currency in Path of Exile 3.25 Settlers of Kalguur, regardless of your build.

PoE Atlas Planner – Blight Farming

This Blight farming strategy doesn’t revolve around running Blighted or Blighted-Ravaged Maps. Your goal is to farm the Blight encounters in your map and farm oils, currency, and the Blight maps to sell. You’ll also get several forms of other currencies, such as Fragments, Essences, and Scarabs.

There are two ways to run this Blight farming strategy. You can either rush to the Blight encounter, finish it, and exit the map or finish the map completely. If you have no problem sustaining maps or if you have a stockpile of maps ready to run, you can go for option one, which will give you more Divine Orbs per hour.

The Epidemiology Blight node carries this whole strategy, where you can open a Blight chest multiple times if you are lucky. You’ll get enormous value from this mechanic if it procs on Oil, Currency, and Scarab Cysts.

Blightspawn Blight node, Explained

While there are two ways to run the strategy, there are also two alternatives: One without Blightspawn and one with Blightspawn. Blightspawn turns one lane of Blight encounters into purely Blight Bosses. These Blight Bosses are juiced-up monsters with similar toughness to Essence mobs with 6+ Essences. The lane will spawn more than 10 Blight Bosses, which will make the encounter exponentially harder.

However, that also means you get more rewards from it, as each boss has a 10% chance to add an additional reward chest. This synergizes well with Epidemiology, and you want to capitalize on this. Most builds can deal with them, but you’ll need a strong character. Your towers won’t be able to carry you that much.

If you need more power, you can get the Sturdy Construction node and some of the reduced tower cost nodes on the lower left of the atlas tree. You can also add some shrines to your map and save them for your Blight encounter. If these additions don’t help, you are forced out of the Blightspawn alternative, but it is still decent because you’ll save more time.

You don’t need Scarabs for the farm, which makes it great. However, if you want to use some, you can use the following:

  • Blight Scarab of Blooming
  • Blight Scarab of Invigoration
  • Cartography Scarab of Escalation
  • Cartography Scarab of Risk

These Scarabs will increase your chances of getting more Blighted-Ravaged maps, which will be the bulk of your income. These Scarabs are expensive so it will be up to you to discern if they are worth it for their price.

Blight is a great farming method for any player at any point in the league. However, it does have one main flaw. Blight doesn’t generate enough gold to sustain your settlement in Kingsmarch. There are a lot of ways to generate currency in the Settlers of Kalguur League mechanic and it does require thousands of gold to sustain. You can alternate between this Blight farming strategy and our gold farming strategy to sustain both if you really love to play Blight.
