Become Lord of Fashion with These New Elden Ring Cosmetics

Shame no one will see your cool new hair once you put on that helmet

If there’s one thing Elden Ring players love, it’s meticulously crafting their character’s face until they’re the perfect clone of anime characters, celebrities, or other video game characters. There’s even a subreddit dedicated to it.

But while Elden Ring has some of the best face sliders in recent memory, there’s one thing that’s held it stubbornly back. The hair. No game has ever really offered excellent hair style choices, but with the latest Elden Ring patch, players will now have five more options to choose from.

But what’s driven fans absolutely crazy about these new options is the new “cosplay” potential they offer. The pigtails have drawn special attention, with users proclaiming, “It’s Miku time baby”, in reference to Vocaloid Hatsune Miku, as well as cheers that players will finally be able to make their own Harley Quinn lookalike. There are few Tarnished who would do as well in the Lands Between as Harley Quinn, so it seems fitting.

Others couldn’t help but note how similar style 29 looks to Vergil of Devil May Cry, and immediately began spamming chat with “I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING,” a line and meme from Vergil’s theme song, Bury the Light in Devil May Cry 5.

These added editions bode well for the future of new content in Elden Ring, which won Game of the Year at Golden Joystick this year. There’s been significant speculation that there will be more to come, as most FromSoftware games have received DLC.

These cosmetics have certainly drawn players back to the game in the interim, and many players in the newly released Colosseum are sporting these new looks. I’ve yet to run into Hatsune Miku, but I’m holding out hope that she’ll come beat my face in with the closest leek adjacent weapon soon.
