To help answer some of these questions, we’ve put together a quick guide on how long Back 4 Blood takes to beat, and how many missions and chapters there are in the campaign.

Back 4 Blood | How Long To Beat The Campaign?

To start, the quick answer to the question of how long Back 4 Blood takes to beat is anywhere between 4 to 8 hours, with 5-6 hours being the average completion time we’ve encountered.

For us, it took us a little over 6 hours to complete the solo campaign, though we were trying to take our time and explore each area as much as possible. We imagine had we not spent so much time looking around, we would have completed the solo campaign in closer to 5 hours as opposed to 6.

The amount of exploration you want to do in search of weapon attachments, cards, and so on, will factor into your completion time and we will say it is worth taking time to explore if you can by opening doors with Tool Kits and whatnot.

Your completion time will also vary depending on the difficulty level you select and whether you’re playing solo or with other players.

If you’re playing with other players on an easy setting like Recruit, you may be able to speed through the campaign in a quicker manner, especially when playing with people who are familiar with areas and objectives (like knowing where to place explosives on the ferry in Act 1).

Meanwhile, some newer players may require additional help, which can mean doubling back to pick them up, waiting for them to find and enter the Safe Room, and so on, all of which extends the amount of time it takes to beat the campaign.

If you’re playing on the hardest difficulty setting, there may also be some trial and error moments that can extend the amount of time it takes to beat the campaign, pushing it closer to 7 or 8 hours or more.

Essentially, average completion times for Back 4 Blood vary from 4 to 8 hours with 5-6 hours being the average. As for how many missions and chapters there are in Back 4 Blood, there are 33 total missions in Back 4 Blood spread out across 4 different acts.
