Timing and strategy are critical in battle royale games such as Apex Legends. You have to unleash as much damage on your opponents as you can before they have a chance to do the same to you. But one of the things that sets Apex Legends apart from its other games is its surprise launch in early February, meaning that developer Respawn Entertainment didn’t go through an Early Access period to test things out and find potential exploits.
The Apex Legends Peacekeeper Shotgun Glitch
One of those overlooked glitches has been discovered, and it’s giving players a tremendous advantage. It involves the Peacekeeper shotgun. The powerful weapon has a relatively slow firing rate since it requires players to load in a new shell each time it’s fired. However, some creative players found that the reloading animation can be circumvented entirely, thereby making it possible to fire off all six shells in the magazine and a blazing fast pace.
Taking advantage of the glitch is simple. After firing a shot, switch to a secondary weapon, then immediately switch back to the Peacekeeper. This completely bypasses the reload animation, so you can fire all six shots in rapid succession. It practically turns the Peacekeeper into an auto-shotgun.
The Peacekeeper is a relatively common shotgun, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find one in the arena. But take advantage of the glitch while it lasts, because it’s just a matter of time before it’s fixed.
