There’s no shortage of excitement in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, particularly in the month of November. The Harvest Festival takes place during the 4th Thursday of the month. On this day, November 28th, head to the plaza to meet Chef Franklin, a talented turkey that wants to cook a big meal.
Unfortunately, Franklin doesn’t have the required ingredients. This is where you come in. You must head out and find three ingredients for the different courses. Ingredients vary based on the dish, and usually involve mushrooms, fruit or fish, among other items.
Turns out, everyone in town is busy cooking. Visit them to find out which dish they’re preparing and the ingredients they need. With that in mind, here are some Harvest Festival tips.

Where do I find mushrooms in Animal Crossing: New Leaf?
If you’re after mushrooms, check the bases of trees. They’re in season during November.
-Listen carefully to your neighbors after trading ingredients with them. Many will give you important clues about the secret ingredients that will make Franklin’s feast truly fantastic!
-Fish are the first things to find. Trade these fish with neighbors for valuable ingredients. You’ll receive special items like milk, butter, and exotic fruit that don’t grow in town. This is the only way to get these items, so continue trading with neighbors until Franklin has what he needs.
-If you manage to discover a dish’s secret fourth ingredient, hand everything to Franklin to receive a special gift.
-Franklin will give you something each time you complete a dish. His feast has multiple dishes.
