Players will find that the Violin Beetle can be found on tree stumps, so individuals interested in catching this critter during May will need to make their way towards the stumps of trees they have cut down to have a chance of getting a Violin Beetle. However, this particular insect only appears during the month of May in the Northern Hemisphere, so, unfortunately, players in the Southern Hemisphere will not have a chance this month to acquire this creature during May. It will be in the North Hemisphere until the end of June, where it will not be available for players to encounter and catch until September.

The Violin bug will spawn on the island throughout the day. This spawning schedule means players who wish to add this bug to their collection do not need to look for it during a dedicated spawning schedule to have a chance of finding and catching this bug.

Now, you will see that this creature can be sold for a total of 450 Bells, which means that players who catch the Violin Beetle in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will not be able to improve their financial situation by much when they sell it. However, they can get a decent amount if they have multiple ones ready to be sold.

You can check out all of the additional bugs that are coming to the title during the month of May in our comprehensive guide or see which bugs left the game when April ended in our other comprehensive guide.
