Players will find that the Diving Beetle can be found in bodies of freshwater like rivers and pounds, so individuals interested in catching this critter during May will need to make their way towards these kinds of freshwater bodies to have a chance of getting a Diving Beetle. However, this particular insect only appears during the month of May in the Northern Hemisphere, so, unfortunately, players in the Southern Hemisphere will not have a chance this month to acquire this creature. Those in the South Hemisphere will have to wait until November before they have a chance of being able to encounter and catch this critter on their islands.

The Diving Beetle will spawn on the island between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM. This spawning schedule means players who wish to add this bug to their collection will need to set aside some time between 8 AM and 5 PM dedicated to finding and catching this bug.
