Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC Pre Order Bonuses

All Returning Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC

Welcome them back with open arms

The new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLCs will be giving some extra longevity to the games with a whole new campaign, missions, attires and, of course, new and returning Pokemon. Just like Sword and Shield did a few years ago, the new expansions bring back lots of previous-gen Pokemon to Paldea, including some starters and some other surprises.

Here you’ll find all of the Pokemon that should be making their comeback in a few months when The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero finally goes live.

All Returning Pokemon Included in Scarlet and Violet DLCs

Although Nintendo hasn’t officially handed us the full 230+ list of Pokemon that will be added, at the same time they kinda did that in the form of leftover data. The 1.2.0 update for Scarlet and Violet has tinkered with some archives in advance to the DLCs, and that included deleting some Pokedex entries, according to dataminer mattyoukhana_ on Twitter.

Why is that important? Because something similar happened back in Sword and Shield (and was reported by the same dataminer), and all Pokemon that received said treatment eventually made into the game in the DLCs. The list also includes many Pokemon that match the ones we’ve been shown so far, so it has some credibility.

Without further ado, here are all of the Pokemon featured in the list.

With quite a long list, we can see some oddities coming around. Starters from Gens V, VI and VIII are missing, for instance. While Gen V could be explained with Black and White being next on the remake line, it doesn’t explain the absence for others. But since Greninja and Cinderace were featured in Tera Battles, their fellow starters might follow them at a later date.

There’s also an absence of Legendaries in the list. They may still be added at a later point with some Dynamax Adventures-like mode, but nothing’s confirmed at this point.

And as a final point, the list only counts up to 223 Pokemon, meaning that there are probably more creatures not included here. We’ll be sure to inform you of any other Pokemon that eventually confirms his return to the games.
