The Shrines of Depths are good sources for quick Primogems in Genshin Impact, and act as an extra gift for fully exploring most of the game’s areas in each region. More of those are added with each new area we receive, and it was no different in the 4.1 update. We have a few more of these locked sanctuaries to ransack, so let’s get down to business.
All Fontaine Shrine of Depths in the Fontaine Research Institute Center Region
We have two more Shrine of Depths added in 4.1, and they can be immediately opened as long as you have Fontaine Shrine of Depths Keys. These can be obtained through regular exploration in the Hydro region, and will work on any of the sealed temples you can find here.
The first Shrine is located in the Central Laboratory Ruins at the underwater section, next to a waypoint. Use it and swim to the eastern portion of the map to find it next to the walls.
The other new Shrine is directly found in the northern area of the New Fontaine Research Institute. You can use the nearby teleport at the southeast of it. If you do, you might find a stray Seelie in the way. Follow the Seelie and it will take you directly to the Shrine for free.
Where to Get Fontaine Shrine of Depths Keys
Keys are earned either by offering Hydroculus to the Statue of the Seven in Fontaine or by reaching certain levels in the Fountain of Lucine by offering your Hydro Sigils. Both methods mean basically exploring Fontaine to its maximum, so you’ll have to do just that regardless of your choice.
Thanks to a limited amount of Hydroculus and the Fountain being level capped at every patch (currently capped at Level 30 as of 4.1), you cannot get all available keys at once. But there are always just enough keys for you to open all Shrines currently available at the game, so you won’t miss out on anything if you’re a tad behind on your Fountain grinding.
