All Hinox Locations in Tears of The Kingdom

Be the ultimate Hinox slayer

They’re big, they snore, and they’re back in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. Hinox are one-eyed enemies that go after you if you disrupt their sleep (honestly? same), and they’ve also got pretty useful items hanging down their chubby necks. If you’re on a quest to find all of them to retrieve the materials they drop once defeated, or just for the sake of it, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s all the Hinox locations in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.

Hinox on the surface

Hinox come in three types: the regular red ones, Blue, and Black, the latter being the hardest to defeat, but the ones who drop the best materials. It’s curious to note that the regular Hinox are distributed in centric, easier-to-access areas in the map, while the Blue and Black ones are located more toward the edges.

Hinox in the depths

The monsters in the depths increase the difficulty a bit because they’re infected with gloom. The Hinox here are not the exception; unlike on the surface, there are very few regular Hinox here, and more Black and Blue ones.

Tips For Defeating Hinox

We’d definitely recommend having Tulin’s vow equipped, as it makes it a lot easier to stun the Hinox since he keeps shooting arrows at them. Also, since the Hinox are usually sleeping, it’s a great idea to be sneaky around them: drink an elixir, eat a meal that’ll grant you this effect, or wear something like the Yiga Armor to accomplish this.
