All Hades 2 Weapons Listed

Pick your poison.

The total list of weapons in Hades 2 might feel limited at first, but all of them are quite different. Each weapon has its strengths and limitations and, naturally, some of the available choices are already proving more effective than the rest. Here’s our list of all Hades 2 weapons.

All Hades 2 Weapons

As of writing, there are five different choices for players to enjoy. Some of these choices will be locked in the beginning, and you’ll unlock them gradually. Additionally, the effectiveness of every weapon will largely depend on your playstyle.

1) Sister Blades

This is the very first weapon you’ll unlock, and while it’s not top-tier when it comes to absolute damage, this is one of the easiest weapons to yield and takes significantly less time to master. For starters, the fast-paced nature of this weapon naturally fits with most playstyles.

Consecutive attacks with it also trigger some really useful combos, which makes it an excellent choice for beginners. The major limitation with Sister Blades is its limited reach in Hades 2, and you’ll need to rely on Dodge more often than not. However, the issue of limited range can be adjusted with the use of proper boons.

2) Moonstone Axe

The Moonstone Axe is a very strange weapon by every stretch of the imagination. Once you can master it, the damage dealt with every blow feels phenomenal. Landing a dodge and attack results in a sweeping hit, and there’s a highly effective block mechanism as well.

The major issue with the Moonstone Axe is the slower attack speed, however, you can manage this to a certain extent with the help of boons. Both the Special and Omega Special moves block damage on one hand and eat away the health of enemies on the other.

3) Witch’s Staff

The Witch’s Staff is the very first weapon you start your game with, and it’s a great all-around option. It’s the easiest weapon to yield in Hades 2, and there’s no headache of having to unlock it as well. When used properly, the Witch’s Staff deals a handy amount of damage, and the reach is more than decent.

Unfortunately, the DPS really falls off as you encounter harder enemies. Unless you use the Special attack properly, the staff will feel underpowered on certain occasions.

4) Argent Skull

As a weapon, the Argent Skull does a lot of damage, and the abilities feel really unique. Unfortunately, it takes a long time to unlock it as it requires Glassrock. Then comes the part of getting adjusted to how it works. Unlike other weapons, the Argent Skull relies a lot on your ability to dodge other attacks.

With the Argent Skull, it’s best to go for any build that increases your base movement speed and ability to dodge. Focus more on its Omega Special ability, which performs a dash and also deals a massive amount of damage to each enemy in a single line.

5) Umbral Flames

The general playstyle of Hades 2 is the biggest challenge of using the Umbral Flames as much as the other four names on this list. It’s the best option to go for if you love a ranged playstyle. Unfortunately, the usual types of enemies make it very difficult to rely on a ranged build in the first place.

The Omega Attack has excellent damage potential, but it nerfs your movement speed while being cast. I felt that the Umbral Flames is the hardest weapon to master due to its ranged nature. This can be a frustrating experience for many, especially when the general gameplay is quite tough to handle.

Do note that more weapons could be added in later patches. If you need help finding Glassrock, make sure to check out this guide.
